As a charity, the Newport Cottage Care Centre is reliant upon donations and fundraising to provide a quality day care service to the residents of Newport.  The Centre requires approximately £320,000 in running costs each year.  Income from day care and office rental raises approximately £245,000.  A shortfall of approximately £75,000 each year is acquired by the Trust in the form of individual donations, company / trust donations, social events, collection boxes and our own lottery.

The Newport Cottage Care Centre is a charity and does not receive funding from the NHS.  All the funds we can raise ourselves are essential to help us continue providing a vital service to our local community.  There are many ways that you can support us.  You can come to one of our forthcoming fundraising events (see Events page), join our Lottery (see below) or make a donation.

The NCCC Lottery is a simple way to help raise funds towards the day to day running costs of the care centre.

Tickets are £12 each per year. There are four cash prizes each month of £150, £50, £25 and £10.

Donations to the centre are always welcome in cash, cheque or bank transfer.

If you wish to make a private donation to the Newport Cottage Care Centre and you pay income tax, then please consider completing a gift aid form.  A link to the gift aid form is at the top of this page.  Copies can also be obtained from reception.  When a donation is gift aided, the government has to contribute an additional 25p in every pound that is donated.

Many businesses in and around Newport support the care centre by having one of our charity collection boxes in their shop.

You can also have your own charity box at home (makes a great 'swear box').
