Day Care Services
Newport Cottage Care Centre supports the elderly and those living with dementia within the community. Elderly people who live alone may feel socially isolated, spending long periods of time on their own. In addition, people caring for family members at home may need a regular break and some ‘me time’, whilst knowing that their loved ones are in a safe environment.
At the Care Centre we offer a high quality day care service which includes a full and varied activity programme, bath care, disabled access transport, a home cooked three course meal, companionship and social and mental stimulation. Our policies and procedures ensure that the staff are as unobtrusive as possible but at the same time encourage clients to retain their dignity, privacy, independence and individuality.
The activities and entertainments include arts & crafts, visiting entertainers, flower arranging, bingo, exercises classes, quizzes, singing, church services and visits from the nursery and local secondary schools. We also celebrate birthdays, Christmas & Easter and hold regular afternoon tea and parties.

Bath Care
Our fully equipped and adapted bathroom features a hoist facility.
Clients can book bath care (at an extra charge) and this service is also available to the elderly population who do not currently attend day care.

Meals
Our qualified catering staff provide fully home cooked three course meals catering for any special dietary requirements. Our high standards continue to be maintained and Telford and Wrekin have awarded us a 5 star rating.
Teas, coffees and cold drinks are offered throughout the day.
Special events such as Christmas, birthdays and afternoon teas are also catered for.

Garden
The Care Centre has a lovely tranquil garden which is utilised by our clients.
We have a large patio area with furniture which is fully wheelchair accessible.

Client can book an appointment with Wendy, our on-site hairdresser (separate charge applied).
